Industry veterans Jill, Mark and Larry Freeman are excited to proudly wave the Freeman banner once again and to restore the magic of this beauty dynasty! Creating beauty products is a Freeman family tradition that spans two centuries. The legacy began in 1915 with Larry Freeman's great uncle, who started the Standard Beauty Supply Company that distributed beauty products to salons across the Eastern seaboard. The company was soon joined by Larry's father, who later moved to Los Angeles to start a beauty supply brokerage business. Larry Freeman began his career with Clairol and eventually joined his father. In 1976 he pioneered Freeman Cosmetics, the first mass merchandise line to incorporate such ingredients as amino acids and proteins. In 1979 he started incorporating unique never before used botanical ingredients in beauty such as avocado, cucumber, orange, papaya, apple, oatmeal and baking soda. His son, Mark, joined the family business in 1985, followed three years later by his daughter, Jill, in 1988, where they worked side by side to make the Freeman brand a household name. The family also undertook many other ventures, most notably the introduction of pH Beauty Labs, a skin and hair care products company offering mass merchandise lines such as Totally Juicy, Totally Nutty, Binge and Botopical. Now part of the Freeman brands, these additions are perfect for completing the Freeman circle. With a stable of products now under the Freeman name, the folks at Freeman Beauty Labs are committed to restoring the trust and reliability that is associated with the brand, and are looking forward to sharing in the enthusiasm and dedication that guided it so successfully from its inception.
